When two ex-lovers remain co-CEO's of a company doing a half-billion in sales, what could possibly go wrong? That was the subject of a major Delaware trial that drew international attention, and not to mention a shouting match between celebrity lawyer Alan Dershowitz and the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
To break down the case, and what its outcome might mean for the future of a major Delaware industry, our October speaker will be Jacob Jeifa, a UD graduate, soon to be law student, and researcher for Charles Elson at the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.
Born and raised on Long Island, Jacob Jeifa has called the Delaware-area home for the last 7 years. From his bedroom Junior year, he launched TenantU, a service that grew from providing reviews for Newark, DE rentals to a variety of student-housing rental management tools in college towns across the east coast. While running the organization, he became fascinated by the nuances of corporate governance, which led him back to the University as a Research Assistant to Prof. Charles Elson, with whom he has, and continues to work closely with. Jacob is a 2016 graduate from the University of Delaware’s Horn Program in Entrepreneurship.
